Day 0

Breakfast: left-over yellow curry with seafood from Lemon Thai
Dinner: Baguette with honey and brie, cucumber with dip, chocolate milk

Getting here was an adventure. There's nothing like hearing "Don't use Route 2-- the pass over the mountains is snowed in." Thank goodness I was driving with Steph. She's skinny, so I didn't have to go all Donner party on her.

The intern house is epically cool. It's old and hissy, but warm and clean (thank god) and my room is HUGE. And has a TURRET! Clearly I am meant to be here. Also, they have

My room-mate seems nice. Taller than she looked on Facebook, but I suppose most people are when they're not 100 pixels high. She's from where the heat lives, so we can be cold ninnies together. We were greeted by creepy men in boot cut jeans on the wall (a Gap ad? unclear.), so we flipped it over to the girl side. Significantly less sketchy.

We're both all moved in. I managed to transition from a closet person to a drawer person without losing too much of my integrity. It's strange to sleep on a real mattress after 3 years on pretent dorm bedding, but I don't think it'll soften my bones too much. My Imelda Marcos collection of shoes have taken over the corner, but it's nice to be reminded that there is a time of year that does not require my snow boots. Strappy heels, you shall live again!

I'm really, really nervous about tomorrow. First day of real-life. I think I'd like to go back to Wellesley now.
