Day 15-16

Breakfasts: Sandwich with honey and brie yesterday; Left-over pasta with cauliflower and olives
Lunches: Pony snack yesterday; Tomato and Red Pepper soup, fruit smoothie
Dinners: Rotini pasta with cauliflower and olives; INTERN DINNER!

I know I'm getting behind, but it was a really crazy busy, fun weekend. I had a great trip to Wellesley, got to eat at all my favorite take-out places, and learned how to play Mah-jong. Badly. I ran into Sister Nancy and she introduced me as one of her "saviors." It almost made me cry. I ran into some trouble getting back from Swelles-- I lost my Amtrak tickets, had to buy new ones on the train (at least they let me on, thank goodness), and then got stuck in Pittsfield literally 1 cent short of bus fare without an open ATM machine in the entire town. I finally found a RiteAid and got cash back enough to make it back home, but oof, that was ridiculous.

Yesterday's tours were fun. The first one only had 2 people, so I had to make awkward forced eye contact. And they were Wanderers. We would go into a room and I would start talking and they would just leave! They would go to the farthest corners of the room and I was just all, "Oh...kay... I'll just... keep talking LOUDER SO YOU CAN HEAR ME ALL THE WAY OVER THERE." Very odd. I whipped through another book, and started the one on women book artists from my Secret Shaker. I've gotta go to the library again!

Today was rough. I finished my blog on D&D, and I think it turned out cute. We had an intern family dinner tonight, potluck style. The food was sooo good. We had jalapeno poppers, goat cheese and onion pasta, asparagus, and cheese. Let's be honest, I can cook one thing that other people want to eat: stir-fried green beans. The grocery store was out of green beans, so I hyperventilated for a bit. But, I've been trying to branch out, so I thought I'd try squash with brown sugar. It was undercooked. And I burned my knuckle on the inside of the oven. Great time, really.

I'm gonna try to keep on schedule from now on. I just have a lot to do outside work this week.

Fun Thing Learned Today: Vin Diesel played Dungeons and Dragons for 20 years.
