Day 18

Breakfast: Tomato and Red Pepper Soup
Lunch: Shrimp Ramen
Dinner: Soft-boiled eggs with toast, cucumber with dip, carrot cake

It's my roomie's birthday today! She's a grown-up 24 now. We almost had 3 cakes for her because everyone thought they'd make one. Thankfully we coordinated, or she would have ended her day in a diabetic coma.

I "tabled" today. That was exciting. I sat at a table surrounded by merchandise and tried to channel the friendliest person I know. I learned that I either do not know how to channel people or I do not know any friendly people.

I had a major panic attack today. I got invited to a final TFA interview, but my intern friend didn't. I'm really flummoxed, because she is so much more qualified than I am and frigging runs the children's center at the museum. I was really bummed out because it would have been nice to have someone to compare notes with and go together to the interviews and such. Now I'll be doing it on my own. Anyway, I had to pick a place and time to interview (it's a whole day process), but with virtually no transportation options. I ran around like a crazy person for an hour until my boss was like, "Honey, you can just take the van." I love my job. They're so nice.

Tonight we'll be skipping trivia. I'm just really not up for it. Maybe next week I'll be recharged and ready to get my brain kicked, but right now the prospect of another slap down of my self-esteem is not exactly appealing.

I need sunflowers this week, and I don't know why. They never seem to be in season when I want them around.

Fun Thing Learned Today: I know how to knock out viruses on my computer without my mother or the HelpDesk looking over my shoulder.
