Breakfast: Half a baguette with honey and brie (so bad but soooooo gooooooood)
Lunch: Oriental flavored ramen (haha, that's STILL funny), My Little Pony fruit snack
Dinner: Romaine lettuce with goat cheese and Caesar dressing, chocolate fudge brownie frozen yogurt (not healthy, but better than crying over the death of my optimism)
Today felt like the first "real" day.
The morning was super fun. I got to go on a tour of the Sol Lewitt galleries with 2 high school groups-- an art class and a geometry one. It was neat to see such different approaches to the same pieces. It was also neat to see HOW INAPPROPRIATELY CHILDREN DRESS THESE DAYS. I was like, "Thank goodness you go to a boarding school, little girl, because your mother would smack you upside the head if she saw how short your skirt is. IT IS WINTER. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU."
I really like the lady who does the tours, she reminds me of one of the girls I really looked up to in college (kind of hipster, but funny and made of awesome). I've decided we're gonna be friends. Hope she's down for that.
I decided to stop being friends when she handed me 50 pages of reading. Homework on my 3rd day. I have to research and come up with a tour of the galleries, which is slightly terrifying but also exciting. The exhibits are all really fantastic, and I like all the trivia I've been learning. And I can just skip all the gross stupid ones I don't like.
During my down time, I add our calendar to all these online databases. I am getting to be friends with some and not friends with others. Tomorrow I go out real-life postering in the van I can't really drive in an area I am not at all familiar with. Super awesome adventure time!
We have another house mate now, so the room-mate and I are going to be social. This is new and different. Will report back soon.
Fun Thing Learned Today: Living in a house is different than living in a dorm. Will do more recon on this.

P.S. Yesterday my boss gave me a toaster. She didn't understand why I cracked up. MLIG
